Twixtor raises the bar in motion estimation. Twixtor is much more accurate, tracks objects farther, and exhibits fewer artifacts when there are objects crossing in the scene. This means less tearing and stretching of objects as they cross or go out of the frame.

Twixtor is a video-length adaptation solution (retiming) from the company "RE: Vision Effects," which allows the user to variable speed up or slow down video sequences.

The software generates new individual frames by so-called warping and interpolating the original sequence. Therefore, the winner of the Academy Award RE: Vision Effects technology is used, in which the motion for each individual pixel is recalculated. This results in a visually stunning quality, achieved with both SD and HD video.

Twixtor enables you to create slow motion, as they are usually only possible with movie recording with high-speed cameras. The slow motion will run very soft without annoying judder. Twixtor can easily be used even with proper motions of the camera, like pans or zooms. In addition, the settings can be adjusted to provide good results in even critical video conditions.

The factor of slowdown, or for time-lapse scene acceleration can be varied. With the help of a rubber band, this is possible even within a scene, which allows stunning effects.So it is possible to start a scene at normal speed - decelerate slowly when highlights apear - speed up greatly over large sections and finally end up in normal speed.

A special and additional function of the Casablanca version of Twixtor is the removal of interfering strobe lights in the video. They would be even more disturbing in slow motion. To prevent this, the program will analyze jumps in brightness within the image and replaces flashed frames like magic by matching images. This function can also be used individually without a time-change in original speed scenes.
